PLM Road Map is a strategic conference focusing on the transformation of product development approaches to serve a new value proposition involving the detailed reconciliation of data and processes across global engineering functions.
Pressures intensify every year to integrate diverse efforts across the entire product lifecycle. The payoff for automating simulation activities while driving multi-disciplinary optimization escalates as more computing capacity becomes routinely available through HPC and Cloud approaches. A new generation of smarter products with increasingly sophisticated embedded software and instrumentation is transforming the development process. Managing this process requires an unprecedented level of collaboration and coordination with customers, engineering disciplines, and suppliers alike. As systems engineering approaches and product variants become more prevalent, so does the required collaboration, traceability and change control across heterogeneous IT environments and multiple design specialists. You will hear from leaders on their progress in addressing the escalating challenges.
PLM Road Map 2011 challenged attendees to shift their current thinking to a new level in a series of presentations focusing on the escalating complexity of PLM and the challenges faced when driving cross-disciplinary knowledge and feedback. Attendees gained insight from our keynote speakers who included: Malcolm Panthaki, Comet Solutions; Dr. Chris Paredis, Georgia Institute of Technology; Brett Hillhouse, IBM; Dr. Hossein Nivi, Pendaran and Joseph Sahiouni, Geometric America; James Scapa, Altair Engineering; and David Mitchell, Siemens PLM Software.
Leading analysts and consultants from CIMdata and key industry players came together in Plymouth, Michigan to share their experiences in making the technology work by driving efforts up front early in design, and continuously incorporating cross-disciplinary knowledge and feedback.
